A new Beginner's Class has just started. Join us Monday morning at 9 AM in the Murray Hotel Ballroom. 

Our Curriculum

We, John and Anna Dye, are long-time students of Grandmaster Tung Kai Ying, whose school is headquartered in Los Angeles, but who has affiliated schools world-wide. We teach the complete Yang-style Long Form and other tai chi solo and weapons forms, a Tai Qi Gong, two-person forms, push-hands, and more.  Students can learn just the Long Form (Slow Set) and chi gong, or continue with the rest of the discipline, as they choose.

What is Tai Chi Chuan?

Tai Chi Chuan is a traditional, Chinese, internal martial art, focusing on precisely controlled postures and movements, which promotes relaxation, and develops balance and core and leg strength.

Who teaches the classes?

Anna and John Dye are long-time students of Tung Kai Ying and have taught Tai Chi in Silver City for more than 10 years, specializing in Yang-style Tai Chi as passed down through the Tung family.

What styles of Tai Chi do you offer?

We offer classes in traditional Yang-style Tai Chi Chuan, beginning with the Yang Long Form and continuing with other forms and exercises from the Yang , Wu-Hao and Tung lineages.

Do I need prior experience to join?

No prior experience is necessary! Our classes welcome both beginners and experienced practitioners.

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and soft shoes for optimal movement and comfort during practice.
